It's a two-tier question. So I write them both:
Is there an area you are not good at/are you good with math?
I take it that these two questions are the same question.
The answer is yes, I am terrible with addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
I can add and subtract below 10 and my multiplication is up to times 3.
Not to worry kids, Einstein didn't even remember his phone number.
As I told you, math as we know it today is to solve problems. That is why we need numbers. Because numbers are the most coherent tool ever created by humans.
Therefore if you need the nuts and bolts, you need math as a tool.
However, you don't need to understand the mechanics to appreciate the concept.
You don't need to understand how an engine works to drive a car.
I practice MATH WITHOUT NUMBERS. I already proposed it as a topic in the school curriculum.
If I need to apply the mechanics, I use the tools (ie: the calculator and computer). Don't let the mechanics hinder you from understanding the concept.
Here is an example. I don't know how to calculate the slope and the parabola but I understand the Law of Diminishing Return, see?
What you need to do is to develop the Analytical Mindset and have the skill to communicate it.
In my case, I am indebted to my English Teachers for teaching me Litterature and TECHNICAL WRITING skills.
That is why I told you all before, many years ago - LEARN ENGLISH. Next is to have the Analytical Mindset.
Just look at me, I am a Math Atheist (hahaha a private joke), still, I am a scientist.
OK fine, personally I think for a scientist, you need algebra, trigonometry, and statistics.
Ooo... We love you, Ayah. You are the World's Best Dad.
OK, one caveat from the incumbent scientists; only when you need to use them later do you need to learn calculus. This is during your apprenticeship. Until then you only need those kinds of math to study science. Those who are good with calculus, proceed with Personal Mastery.
Hurray! We love you so so much, Ayah!

#traxxfm I need for either one of you or both to 2nd this petition: 2022journeymanvol1jan-mar.blogspot.com/2022/01/2121-t
By doing so, we are initiating an ishtihad in the area of scientific and mathematical studies.
